*RGB Easy Profiling takes advantage of our new "small test chart" technology where you can quickly and easily create a perceptual colour profile by reading just a few rows of colour swatches from a given output device. Within the Eye-One Match application, you simply print the small test chart named RGB Easy and then scan it in using your Eye-One.

Common Questions
Q. Can I use the upgrade voucher from the Eye-One Display against this?
A. Yes. You can save £140 off the price and get to keep the Eye-One Display - just contact us for more details.

Q. What's the difference between the Eye-One Photo and the Proof?
A. The Proof comes with 'full' CMYK output profiling and 'easy' RGB profiling, whereas the Photo has 'full' RGB profiling and 'easy' CMYK. This makes the Proof suitable for people profiling proofing systems driven via a RIP or printing presses.

Q. Isn't my desktop inkjet printer a CMYK device - it has CMYK (and more) inks?
A. No. Although desktop inkjets have CMYK (and sometimes up to 12) inks, the way the data is sent from your computer to the printer is in RGB format. When using a RIP however, a printing press or high-end colour laser printers, the data is send as CMYK.

Q. Are the ICC printer profiles any good from the 'Small Chart Technology'.
A. In general terms, the more patches used to create the ICC profile, the better the quality. The 'Small Chart' technology produces remarkably good results but lacks some of the smoothness that the full RGB or CMYK profiling module provides.

Q. Do you provide training courses on operating the Eye-One system.
A. Yes we do - courses are held every few months - if they are not listed on our website, give us a call for an update.
