EIZO is pleased to announce its new ColorEdge CG243W, a wide format and wide gamut 24" monitor specifically designed for colour critical applications in pre-press, photography and graphic design. The CG243W covers 98% of the Adobe RGB colour space and has incredibly wide viewing angles with reduced effects in colour shift.

The ColorEdge CG243W utilises a brand new EIZO-developed 3D-look up table. Whereas a typical 1D LUT adjusts colours on separate tables for each red, green and blue, the 3D LUT accomplishes this on a single, mixed-colour cubic table. A 3D LUT improves the monitor's additive colour mixture; a key factor in its ability to display neutral grey tones. This feature together with the 16-bit internal processing for greyscale rendering delivers colour on par to what high-end CRTs of their time delivered.

New features never before seen include a newly designed and more user friendly OSD, an improved stabilisation system for both brightness and chromaticity, 0 watt power consumption when the monitor is turned off, and the ability to handle HDCP digital content playback.

Calibration on the monitor is improved and even provides independent calibration modes for each input terminal in case multiple workstations need to be hooked to the same monitor. Still compatible with EIZO's own ColorNavigator software, the CG243W will maintain its consistency using any of the predominant calibration devices on the market.
