EZcolor is very straightforward to use and creates output (printer) ICC profiles in the following manner:

* Print out the colour target on your printer with your chosen ink/paper.
* Once dry, attach the supplied IT8 target to the print in the designated area.
* Use your flatbed scanner to scan in the print and IT8 target together.
* EZcolor now compares the colours on the IT8 target with the expected values and creates a scanner profile.
* EZcolor applies this scanner profile to the rest of the scan to eliminate any colour bias from your scanner.
* EZcolor now compares the colours your printer has printed with those it expected and creates a printer profile.

The supplied ColorWorks utility allows basic profile editing, profile application and soft proofing facilities.

The profiles created are standard ICC profiles and can be used in Adobe Photoshop or any other ICC-aware application.

Also available as a bundle with Monaco Optix XR or XR PRO to form a complete scanner - monitor - printer ICC profiling solution.

By adding a 35mm IT8 target, EZcolor will also create profiles of your slide scanner.
